Dundalk (AW) Tips: Sunday 12 July 2026
A sunny afternoon at Dundalk with standard going on the all-weather. Seven races on the card and the surface is playing fair, which suits horses with proven form at this track. Robson De Aguiar and David Egan are the names to follow here based on course statistics, and both have a say in the feature opener. Let’s get into it.
2:00 โ Ladies Day At Dundalk Handicap (5f, Handicap, 10 runners)
Selection: Rosie Frith โ 11/2 LiveScore Bet (6/1 Boyle Sports, 6/1 Betfred)
This is a competitive 5f sprint with plenty of form to unpick, but Rosie Frith stands out on recency. She won last time out and has now posted two wins from her last five starts, with the trainer Patrick Magee sending her back out after just 10 days. That quick turnaround following a winning run is a positive signal, not a negative one. The inconsistency mid-sequence is the one caveat, but horses that win and come back quickly at Dundalk on a fair surface deserve respect. Draw 5 over five furlongs here is workable, and Dylan Browne McMonagle is very much a jockey worth following at this track.
The counter-argument is Ipanema Queen, who David Egan rides and who tops the overall profile on the figures. Egan’s 26% strike rate at Dundalk is the best on the card, and De Aguiar’s 25% trainer figure is equally compelling. She ran sixth last time, which is easily forgiven if that was an off day, and the market has her at 5/2. She may well be the right answer, but the price is short for a horse with a sixth on her latest start in a 10-runner handicap. Rosie Frith at 11/2 carries better value on a winning note.
2:35 โ Racing TV Free One Month Trial Handicap (7f, Handicap, 11 runners)
Selection: Kc Bear โ 5/2 Boyle Sports (5/2 Betfred, 5/2 LiveScore Bet)
Colin Keane rides, and the consistency record here is the story. Kc Bear has not finished worse than fourth in any of his last five outings, he won four starts back, and he was second last time out. For a three-year-old gelding in a handicap, that kind of reliability is rare. Noel Meade’s yard has gone 2/12 in the last 14 days, which is a decent enough clip, and Keane’s booking confirms this is a yard that wants the ride filled properly. The 53 speed figure is the sceptic’s angle, but figures do not tell the whole story when a horse is this consistent in handicap company at a track that rewards straightforward, honest performers.
Each-Way interest: Reimagined Each-Way โ 10/1 Boyle Sports / 10/1 Betfred / 9/1 LiveScore Bet
Reimagined tops the speed figures with a 74 rating and was third two starts back before a disappointing ninth. In an 11-runner handicap paying three places, a horse that figures at the head of the ratings at double figures deserves a small each-way interest. Ben Coen is a quality booking and this yard has been placing horses sensibly. If she runs to her best figure she will be thereabouts.
3:10 โ Anglo Printers Maiden (1m, Maiden, 10 runners)
Selection: Krasimir โ 10/11 Betfred (11/10 Boyle Sports, Evens LiveScore Bet)
The market speaks clearly here. Krasimir is the form horse and Colin Keane takes the ride for G M Lyons. The form reads 23-233, which is a horse that has been placed five times without winning, but three of those are thirds and the sequence shows a horse that competes every time. In a maiden that includes a 50/1 shot and several debutants or lightly raced types with limited exposed form, that level of consistency should be enough. Lyons has a 17% strike rate at Dundalk and the yard has fired in 1/11 of recent starts, which is modest, but in this weak maiden field the opposition is thin. Outlaw Man at 10/3 with Dylan Browne McMonagle is the main market danger, coming off a second last time, but Krasimir’s more extensive placed form gives the edge at odds-against on the best available price.
Odds-on selections are never easy to recommend with enthusiasm, so keep the stake sensible. The each-way market is not applicable here given the favourite’s price, but a win single on Krasimir is the straightforward play in a race with limited depth.
Today’s NAP
Odds: 11/2 โ LiveScore Bet (others: 6/1 Boyle Sports, 6/1 Betfred)
A winner last time out, back within 10 days, with two wins from her last five starts and proven form over five furlongs on standard Dundalk going. Dylan Browne McMonagle in the saddle gives this a professional finish. In a wide-open 10-runner sprint handicap, recency and form on this exact track and surface makes her the standout selection on the card. The 11/2 with LiveScore Bet is the price to take before the market shortens with weight of money on the day.
