Dunstall Park Greyhound Tips – Monday 18 May 2026
Wolverhampton’s floodlit Dunstall Park hosts a 12-race card on Monday afternoon, with the first race at 11:01 and the final at 14:07. The sand surface and trap bias data from the past 60 days show a clear inside advantage at 480m, with Trap 1 winning at 35% – significantly above the field.
11:18 – Grade A5 480m
| Trap | Dog | Age | Trainer | Last 3 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Keepers Nutty | 2y B | D T Smith | 456 |
| 2 | Taffy Sarrug | 2y B | M T Field | 541 |
| 3 | Tori Black | 2y B | D T Smith | 431 |
| 4 | Mid Tipp Lucy | 2y B | S Aveline | No form |
| 5 | Swift Olympia | 2y B | D T Smith | No form |
| 6 | Tee Emgee Flyer | 2y D | S Deakin | No form |
Keepers Nutty is the standout in this A5 contest. The two-year-old by D T Smith showed a recent win at this grade (18 April, won by 1ยพ lengths) and has raced exclusively at Dunstall Park. Form string reads 45614 – not recent fireworks, but that April victory at A6 followed by a near-miss at A5 shows the dog has class at this level. The fast-away tendency (QAw notation on 04 May) is encouraging for trap 1, where data shows a 35% strike rate at the track. Keepers Nutty drew trap 1 on that April win and used the rail position to effect.
Taffy Sarrug (Trap 2) offers place value. Two wins in three races at A6 and A7 (30 April and 25 April) mark genuine improvement, though the dog is now stepping back up in grade. Mid Tipp Lucy in trap 4 is unexposed at this level with no recent form provided.
NAP: Keepers Nutty, Trap 1.
12:09 – Grade A4 480m
| Trap | Dog | Age | Trainer | Last 3 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Mohican Mia | 2y B | D T Smith | 241 |
| 2 | Swift Wag | 4y B | K Harrison | 351 |
| 3 | Mohican Hallie | 1y B | D T Smith | 614 |
| 4 | Swift Yellow | 1y D | P Holder | No form |
| 5 | Tea And Toast | 3y B | S Aveline | No form |
| 6 | Mid Tipp Goose | 2y D | S Deakin | No form |
Swift Wag is the key player here. The four-year-old bitch trained by K Harrison has two wins at Dunstall Park on 25 April and 15 April, both at A4 and A5 respectively, and form string 15135 shows consistency at the track. Most recent outing (11 May) was a creditable 3rd in A4 from trap 1, held up by half a length. The dog is a seasoned performer, quick away (Rls notation), and Trap 1 dominance at Dunstall Park – 35% – heavily favours her profile. Swift Wag has won twice from trap 1 this season and understands the track.
Mohican Hallie (Trap 3) is an emerging threat. The one-year-old showed a recent win (06 May) with sharp mid-to-rails running and has two wins from five starts. However, form 61145 suggests recent inconsistency. Mohican Mia (Trap 1) is also worth monitoring – 2nd on 13 May from trap 1 only 1ยพ lengths back – but Swift Wag’s experience and two recent wins edge it.
NAP: Swift Wag, Trap 2.
13:17 – Grade A4 480m
| Trap | Dog | Age | Trainer | Last 3 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Hilldun Momo | 2y B | K Harrison | 245 |
| 2 | Malaika Queen | 3y B | J Hall | 121 |
| 3 | Shortwood Cloud | 3y D | J Hall | 516 |
| 4 | Rockmount Junior | 4y D | D T Smith | No form |
| 5 | Dapper Chunky | 2y D | I Walker | No form |
| 6 | Tip Top Dance | 2y B | K Harrison | No form |
Malaika Queen looks overdue for another victory. The three-year-old bitch trained by J Hall won at A5 level on 11 May (by 3ยพ lengths) and has form string 12314 at Dunstall Park, showing three wins from recent A5 and A6 racing. She drops in grade here and displayed excellent rail-to-middle running on her latest outing. The A4 grade is within range, and her 11 May sharp fast-away (EP, Rls-Mid, ALd) from trap 2 shows current well-being.
Shortwood Cloud (Trap 3) is the danger. Won convincingly on 04 May by a neck from middle trap, form reads 52162, and has three wins in five recent starts. The dog runs at middle to strong finishing effort. Hilldun Momo (Trap 1) is consistent but has not won in five recent starts, despite a 2nd on 11 May.
NAP: Malaika Queen, Trap 2.
12:26 – Grade A3 480m
| Trap | Dog | Age | Trainer | Last 3 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Miss Tibbs | 2y B | P Meek | 435 |
| 2 | Flush Seskin | 3y B | K Harrison | 253 |
| 3 | We Dont Know | 2y D | D T Smith | 633 |
| 4 | Popstar Rose | 2y B | I Walker | No form |
| 5 | Cross Keys Maggy | 4y B | P Holder | No form |
| 6 | Eyrehill Samson | 2y D | I Walker | No form |
Flush Seskin merits serious consideration. The three-year-old by K Harrison showed a narrow 2nd (by a shade) just five days ago on 13 May from trap 2, and before that a 3rd on 29 April. Form string 52531 lacks recent wins, but the dog is consistently near the frame at Dunstall Park and handles A3 racing. The recent 2nd indicates very sharp form. Trap 2 carries 15% win rate at this distance, modest but acceptable given form trajectory.
Miss Tibbs (Trap 1) offers support from an outside angle. Recent form 24542 is patchy, with a 2nd on 28 March at OR level from trap 2, but she carries Trap 1 advantage (35%) today. However, a 4th on 07 May at this same grade and trap suggests she is not pulling away from the field. We Dont Know (Trap 3) is young and inconsistent – form shows 63341 with a win on 02 April but recent form is unstable.
NAP: Flush Seskin, Trap 2.
Meeting Overview
The card spans A3 to A5 grades across the four feature races, all at the standard 480m trip. Dunstall Park’s inside-trap advantage is pronounced – punters should back dogs with early-pace credentials from trap 1 where possible, and monitor slow-away notations carefully. No staying races or sprints feature on the featured card.
Punters’ Note
Starting prices will firm in the 30 minutes before each race. Check odds on Betfair, Bet365, SkyBet, and William Hill for best greyhound markets. Forecast and reverse-forecast betting offer value in six-runner fields, especially when trap bias is factored in. Watch for trap draw announcements close to race time, as early slow-away runners in wider traps may shorten odds rapidly.
