Hamilton, Wednesday 10 June 2026: Tips and Preview

Light rain at Hamilton this evening keeps the going at Good, which should play into the hands of horses with turf form and a bit of substance to their build. Three races, a modest card by any measure, but there are angles worth taking. Kevin Ryan’s yard is flying with juveniles this term, Jack Nicholls claims a brilliant 31% win rate at this track, and the 5f handicap throws up a small but competitive field where one runner has been circled for weeks. Let’s get into it.

7:00 โ€” Hamilton Park EBF Maiden Stakes (6f, 2yo)

Selection: Casino Star (K R Burke / Clifford Lee, 10/3 Boyle Sports)

Royal Heritage comes here as a heavily backed odds-on shot, and the 800,000 euro breeze-up price tag demands respect. But 4/9 in a juvenile maiden with unknowns throughout the field is a short price to stomach, and there is genuine interest elsewhere.

Casino Star represents a K R Burke operation that is running at a 27% strike-rate with two-year-olds this season, well above his five-year average. Burke knows how to place a juvenile, and a ยฃ100,000 yearling out of a Listed-placed speedster at 10/3 is solid each-way material in a race that offers two places. Clifford Lee rides, and while his overall Hamilton record reads 15%, his A/E figure of 0.88 suggests he runs his share at tracks like this when sent out with intent.

My Mate Fitz for Kevin Ryan also catches the eye given Ryan’s 20% course win rate and a juvenile string that has been on fire this season, but with no RPR to anchor confidence, Casino Star edges it on the angle.

Best price: 10/3 Boyle Sports / Betfred

7:30 โ€” Robert Graham Millar Memorial Maiden Stakes (1m3f, Mixed Ages)

Selection: Glory Of The Seas (Roger Varian / Ray Dawson, 2/9 Boyle Sports)

Yes, 2/9 is a short price. No, this column does not make a habit of recommending odds-on shots. But Glory Of The Seas is a legitimate standout and this is a five-runner maiden with no serious challenger. A 550,000 guineas yearling gelded since his Chester run, he finished third in a hot Chester May Festival maiden over 12.5f before that. The form around him includes Water To Wine, who is no mug. Varian has a 38% course win rate at Hamilton, the best of any trainer on the database, and Ray Dawson converts at 23% here.

The 1m3f trip suits, the ground is fine, and the opposition is thin. Yafreh at 5/1 is the only plausible threat, but he needs to improve on two fourth-place finishes. This race is a formality barring incident. No each-way badge here given it is a five-runner field and the selection is odds-on, but if you want a banker for a Lucky 15 or an accumulator leg, this is your horse.

8:00 โ€” Every Race Live On RacingTV Handicap (5f, 7 runners)

Selection: Tees Aggregates Each-Way (Adrian Nicholls / Jack Nicholls(5), 9/2 Boyle Sports / Betfred)

This is the race of the evening, and Tees Aggregates is the horse to be on.

Jack Nicholls claims a remarkable 31% win rate at Hamilton with an A/E of 1.41, the best figure of any jockey tracked at this course. Adrian Nicholls trains at 18% here. Father and son combination, course specialists, and they have a horse in form. Tees Aggregates finished a closing third at Ripon a fortnight ago despite things not going smoothly, and crucially two of his three career wins have come at tracks with a stiff uphill finish, exactly the type of course Hamilton is. The track profile is tailor-made for him.

Canaria Queen demands respect. She has been consistent all season and has no issues with Hamilton’s layout. Hi Lord is the likely market leader and ran to an identical RPR figure here just last week, but comes from 3lb higher than when he beat Mount Ruapehu over C&D and is likely to face stronger pace pressure this time. Pal Joey’s recent form is flat and the high weight does him no favours.

Tees Aggregates at 9/2 with a stiff track, a red-hot course jockey, and form pointing the right way is the value play of the card. Back each-way at two places, 1/4 odds.

Best price: 9/2 Boyle Sports / Betfred

Today’s NAP

Jockey silksTees Aggregates โ€” Every Race Live On RacingTV Handicap (20:00, Hamilton)
Odds: 9/2 โ€” Boyle Sports (others: 9/2 Betfred, 4/1 LiveScore Bet)

Jack Nicholls posts a 31% win rate at Hamilton with an A/E of 1.41, the strongest course jockey figure in the data, and he partners a horse that wins specifically at tracks with stiff uphill finishes. Tees Aggregates ran a cracking race at Ripon last time out with interference, he has dropped back to a sprint, and the combination of course suitability, jockey angle, and competitive price make this a clear top pick on the card. Canaria Queen is the danger but comes in heavier form at a higher mark.
