Trap 1 shows only 20% strike rate at Harlow 415m over the past 60 days, but Glenadda Lily’s ability to slot in from the rails and hold position through the middle stages makes her resilient to trap disadvantage. Day Tripper, meanwhile, has posted two wins in the last 10 days at A7 grade and does offer each-way appeal in forecast markets given the explosive finishing power shown in recent victories. However, Glenadda Lily’s consistency at this exact grade and trip edges the call.

12:12 – Grade A6 415m

Blue Gemstone is the standout here with two wins at A6 in the last 20 days and five outings at this grade showing three victories overall. The 4-year-old was particularly sharp on 20 April, winning by a shade with excellent rails work noted. At Trap 1, Blue Gemstone faces the statistical headwind of a 20% strike rate at this track and distance, but the dog’s form at A6 is substantially superior to the field. Centre Line won on 27 April but has also posted mid-field finishes at A6, and the form is less convincing. Spring Thing shows promise on shorter D4 trips but has only one A6 outing available, finishing fifth. Blue Gemstone’s A6 pedigree and two recent victories make this a clear selection.

This feature race sees Tinks This bring very strong recent form: two wins and one second from the last three A6 outings, most recently prevailing on 29 April. The 1-year-old has recorded excellent split times and rails manipulation, with consistent leads noted into the latter stages. Trap 1 carries the 20% strike rate disadvantage, but Tinks This’s finishing power and proven wins at both A6 and A7 grades offset this. Swift Opel won four days ago at A6 but from Trap 6, which has shown the strongest 28% strike rate at this distance; however, the dog’s form profile includes a fifth place finish from a wide trap when crowded at bend two, suggesting occasional frame fragility. Hidden Babs has recorded four consecutive seconds at A5 but yet to convert to a win. Tinks This’s recent victory margin and age advantage suggest raw pace that Hidden Babs cannot match.

Savana Bridget recorded an impressive win on 4 May at Invitation trap racing over 415m, with strong away and cord work leading to a rails finish. Armintas Jet brings a recent third at IT grade and shows consistent improvement through recent runs, with quality away and run-on noted. However, Savana Heaven, the younger 2-year-old from the same Nevin yard, has recorded a win on 20 April at IT 415m with a bumped start that she recovered from, demonstrating class. Savana Bridget’s recent victory and proven A6/IT-grade handling at 415m make her the clearest selection from a competitive heat.
