Barntick Sydney has raced five times at this grade and distance, finishing 2-3-4-3, posting a form line of 23433. He shows persistent mid-field form but struggles to break through; his last three outings from Trap 1 (13 May, 8 May, 22 April) yielded 2-3-4, suggesting Trap 1 at 20% is contributing to his inability to fire. Old Fort Rinty, meanwhile, bounced back to form with a 2nd-place finish from Trap 2 on 15 May at A6, recording odds of 4.33. His form string 24325 shows erratic results, but recent traction is evident. Moaning Hagler is young (2y) and carries mixed sprint and flat form; his 4-4-1-1 line at D3 (shorter trips) is encouraging, but he lacks recent 415m A5 form post-injury (lame 31 March). Headford Musk showed promise with an IT win on 10 April (LdRnUp, Rls-Mid) but has since dipped form with a 5th at A5 on 15 May and a 4th at A4 on 8 May, suggesting he is finding this grade tough. His ability to run on and position himself (Fcd-CkRnIn on 13 May) is a positive trait. Hollyhill Ma has only raced at D4 short trips and A6 longer trips, with form 43443, suggesting she struggles to break through. Pips Rosie and Moaning Mai Tai lack recent form.
