Harlow Greyhound Racing Tips: Monday, 27 April 2026

Harlow hosts a 25-race card on Monday, 27 April, with the first race at 10:32 and the meeting concluding at 21:26. This compact Essex sand oval with tight bends favours quick-away types from inside traps, particularly over the 415m sprint distance that dominates the card.

Race 11:04 - A7, 415m

Runners:

  • Trap 1: Harriestown Kate (B, 4y, P Ward)
  • Trap 2: Ravenswood Blake (D, 4y, P Clarke)
  • Trap 3: Day Tripper (D, 4y, P J Steward)
  • Trap 4: Brandywell King (D, 2y, D Hurlock)
  • Trap 5: Salems Ebony (B, 5y, J Pearson)
  • Trap 6: Classic Lisa (B, 4y, J Pearson)

NAP: Day Tripper, Trap 3. This dog showed sharp form in late March when winning at Harlow in A7 over 415m by bumping into the bend and leading near the line. Recent outings (20 April and 15 April) show bumping trouble and slow starts, but the underlying ability is clear. Trap 3 suits a middle-track runner on this tight circuit. Ravenswood Blake is consistent but slightly plateaued on form, while Harriestown Kate won narrowly in mid-April but has been inconsistent since.

Race 11:38 - A6, 415m

Runners:

  • Trap 1: Skirk Sky (B, 2y, S Saberton)
  • Trap 2: Centre Line (B, 2y, J Pearson)
  • Trap 3: Scarlett Galaxy (B, 3y, P J Steward)
  • Trap 5: Coolruss Izzy (B, 4y, P J Steward)
  • Trap 6: Cree Banner (D, 3y, P Clarke)

NAP: Skirk Sky, Trap 1. This young bitch has won at this track, grade and distance (23 March by 3/4 length, slow away into a bumped first bend and leading running-in). Form shows two recent seconds (13 and 8 April) where she was forced to check in the first bend but ran on well. The trap 1 inside positioning on this tight circuit suits her quick-away nature, and despite loose early bends, her tendency to lead running-in is a strength. Centre Line won here in early April but has tailed off since, while Scarlett Galaxy is stuck on fourth-place finishes and bumping trouble.

Race 12:12 - A7, 415m

Runners:

  • Trap 1: Burkos Destiny (B, 1y, S Saberton)
  • Trap 2: Cofam Girl (B, 2y, D Hurlock)
  • Trap 3: Browns Barbie (B, 2y, P J Steward)
  • Trap 4: Cofam Spurs (B, 2y, D Hurlock)
  • Trap 5: Classic Turbo (D, 4y, J Pearson)
  • Trap 6: Fenview Taylor (D, 4y, P J Steward)

NAP: Cofam Girl, Trap 2. This young bitch won narrowly at Harlow in A7 on 1 April (head by crowding bend one through two and leading near the line), and despite a recent absence (bitten on 6 April), her previous form shows two consistent seconds and a third with cramping in the bend and running on. She has shown her best form here at this grade and distance. Burkos Destiny won most recently (20 April) but was bumped early and led from bend one, making her vulnerable to late runners. Cofam Girl's recent comeback run and bounce-back profile suit a quick turnaround.

Race 13:19 - A6, 415m

Runners:

  • Trap 1: Blue Gemstone (D, 4y, P J Steward)
  • Trap 3: Snazzy Panda (B, 2y, S Saberton)
  • Trap 4: Nametab Anita (B, 2y, S Saberton)
  • Trap 5: Swift Opel (D, 2y, J Pearson)
  • Trap 6: Tinas Liberty (B, 3y, D Hurlock)

NAP: Blue Gemstone, Trap 1. This dog has won three times at Harlow in A6 over 415m this season (20 April by a shadow, 8 April by 3.25 lengths bumping bend two and leading four, 30 March by 1.25). Consistently very quick away, cracking the line well, and suited to trap 1 on this tight circuit. Recent form shows a third-place finish (15 April) and a fifth (3 April), but the pattern is clear: this dog thrives with a clean break and inside positioning. Nametab Anita won here once (8 April) but is inconsistent. Snazzy Panda's recent form is exclusively over the shorter 238m D-grade trip, a significant step up to A6 415m.

Meeting Overview

Harlow's 25-race card features predominantly A6 and A7 grades over 415m on sand. The inside traps favour quick-away types on this tight Essex circuit. Forecast and reverse forecast betting markets offer good value given the small field sizes and the bumping/crowding variables these tight bends generate.

Punters' Note

Check Starting Prices with Betfair, Bet365, SkyBet, or William Hill close to race time; greyhound odds firm significantly in the final 10 minutes. Forecast and reverse forecast markets pay well at Harlow given the tight bends and form volatility. Each-way betting is rarely used in greyhound racing. Monitor the trap draw for late changes, especially on inside traps where bumping into bend one is frequent.
