Harlow Greyhound Racing Tips: Wednesday, 29 April 2026
Harlow hosts 26 races on Wednesday, 29 April, with the first race at 10:32 and the card closing at 21:26. This compact Essex circuit runs on sand with tight bends that reward quick-away types from inside traps on the 415m feature distance.
Race 1: 10:32, Grade A6, 415m
Runners:
- Trap 1: Kender (D, 2y, P Vincent)
- Trap 2: Chadwell Opus (B, 1y, S Saberton)
- Trap 3: Doreens Cedar (D, 2y, K Crew)
- Trap 5: Moaning May (B, 1y, D Whitton)
- Trap 6: Salems Margarita (B, 2y, S Clark)
NAP: Doreens Cedar, Trap 3. Cedar showed excellent recent form with wins in three of the last five outings. On 8 April, Cedar won at 415m from Trap 2 despite bumping at bend 1, then led from bend 4 onwards. The dog won again on 1 April at this trip from Trap 3. Cedar has the form and track knowledge to handle this A6 grade. Kender is on the bounce after winning on 22 April over the shorter 238m, but that sprint form may not transfer seamlessly to this 415m test. Cedar's 415m consistency on sand at Harlow makes this the call.
Race 2: 11:04, Grade A7, 415m
Runners:
- Trap 1: Antalya (B, 4y, J Pearson)
- Trap 2: Swift Waffle (B, 4y, D Carter)
- Trap 3: Foxrock Alfie (D, 2y, D Ellerker)
- Trap 4: Skinny Pete (D, 4y, P J Steward)
- Trap 5: Kiskillo (D, 2y, S Clark)
- Trap 6: Bluehouse Bell (B, 2y, S Clark)
NAP: Foxrock Alfie, Trap 3. Alfie has won one of the last five and showed a strong recent win on 20 April at 415m from Trap 4, leading from bend 1 into the middle. The 2-year-old posted a 3-5-3 form string at A7 grade. While Antalya has solid recent placing form (2-3-1-3-1) and is an older, more experienced performer, Alfie's form trajectory is improving and the dog's trap position here (3) sits well on Harlow's tight circuit for dogs that get a clean break. Alfie offers better value in a competitive A7 field.
Race 3: 11:38, Grade A6, 415m
Runners:
- Trap 1: Moaning Allora (B, 2y, D Whitton)
- Trap 2: Tinks This (D, 1y, S Saberton)
- Trap 3: Small Tommy (D, 2y, P Vincent)
- Trap 4: Ballydaniel Dan (D, 1y, D Ellerker)
- Trap 6: Steel Duke (D, 5y, D Carter)
NAP: Moaning Allora, Trap 1. Allora has posted an impressive 2-1-3-1-4 form string over recent runs, winning three of five. The 2-year-old won on 15 April from Trap 1 at A6, forcing the pace into bend 1, crowding trap 3, and leading home. Allora won again on 3 April at A7. Despite Trap 1 typically being tight on Harlow's compact circuit, Allora's quick-away speed and willingness to lead early suit this tight Essex track. Tinks This is a close alternative (2-4-1-3-2 form) and showed a second-place finish on 20 April, but Allora's two wins in this grade make the choice clear.
Race 4: 12:46, Grade A5, 415m
Runners:
- Trap 2: Chasing Aiden (D, 3y, D Hurlock)
- Trap 3: Doreens Ash (D, 2y, K Crew)
- Trap 4: Headford Ava (B, 2y, J Pearson)
- Trap 5: Salems Amaretto (B, 1y, S Clark)
- Trap 6: Blackheath Charm (B, 3y, D Whitton)
NAP: Chasing Aiden, Trap 2. Aiden delivered a winning performance on 13 April from Trap 1 at this very grade and distance, leading into bend 1 and releasing through the middle. The dog ran second twice in the last five (17 April and 8 April), both times forced to check at bends. From Trap 2 today, Aiden should enjoy a cleaner run and the dog's 2-2-1-2-1 form string shows consistency at A5 level. Doreens Ash is also capable (4-1-2-1-3) with a recent win on 1 April, but Aiden's form profile and Trap 2 positioning make this the stronger play on Harlow's inside-biased, tight circuit.
Meeting Overview
The 26-race card at Harlow features predominantly A5 to A7 grades across the 415m feature distance, with early and mid-card racing through A6 and A7 classes. The sand surface and tight oval configuration favour quick-breaking types, especially from middle traps on the standard 415m trip.
Punters' Note
Starting price will firm in the 30 minutes before each race. Betfair, Bet365, SkyBet, and William Hill are best for greyhound racing in-running and ante-post markets. Forecast betting is popular on greyhound cards with smaller fields; reverse forecasts offer value in tight races like the A5 feature.
