The 1-year-old trained by C Gardiner landed recent victories on 5 May and 22 April at this distance and grade, both from Trap 1 with early pace (EP) and rails running. He showed 1,1,2,1,3 in his last five, demonstrating consistent ability. The trap draw aligns perfectly with Hove’s 500m bias: Trap 1 winners hit 27 per cent over the recent sample. 18:26 – Grade A2, 500m

Join In has mixed recent form but landed a Trap 1 win on 1 May in A3 grade (500m, by half a length at 7.00 odds). The 3-year-old bitch trained by S Cahill showed rails running (Rls) and a strong finish (FnWll). Recent runs show inconsistency: two fourth-place finishes over 500m A3 bracket either side of that win, plus staying runs over the longer 695m S2 grade. Ballydoyle Toby has momentum after winning here on 8 May from Trap 2, beating the field by a short head in A1 company at even money odds. The 2-year-old trained by D Dark has shown three consecutive placings (1,2,2 in his last three runs) and backs up well to form. His Trap 2 win came with early pace and middle-to-rails running (EP, Mid-Rls), settling into a strong lead by snap time (SnLd). Previous Trap 2 run on 29 April also saw him finish second in A1, suggesting consistency at this gate and grade. Classic Bucko offers winning form within recent memory. The 4-year-old trained by C Gardiner won on 8 April from Trap 2 with rails-to-middle running and a near-the-line lead (Rls-Mid, LdNrLn). He’s shown two wins in his last eight races, including a narrow victory on 29 March at A4 grade. Most recently (3 May) he finished fifth from Trap 1, but the run notes showed he was caught wide (W1/2) after a slow away. His form string (5,2,1,1,4) over the past 12 races shows he’s capable at A3 level. Tommys Goodtime offers form (2,1,5,5,2 recently) but his inconsistency and poor Trap 2 run last time (22 April, losing by three-quarters after rails-middle placement) makes him less reliable.
