NAP: Exotic Princess, Trap 1. The youngster showed winning form at this track and trip in January, posting a 12124 sequence. Her most recent run on 5 February at Hove off Trap 4 in an OR3 race saw her finish 4th, but that was against stronger company. Back in A2 grade and returning to Trap 1 where she won, she has the rails and early pace to lead. Cahill and Rees runners are competitive here too, but Exotic Princess offers the best recent winning form on this surface.

He has won from Traps 3 and 4 previously, and from the middle, he avoids early congestion at Hove’s tight bends. Rebel Charles is in form (32122) but has struggled from Trap 1 repeatedly, and Bridies Show’s 33343 sequence suggests he is vulnerable in this A1 field. Glenrock King’s consistency and trap position make him the call.

NAP: Rapido Benji, Trap 3. This is a standout. Rapido Benji is a 1-year-old with exceptional recent form: 11213, winning two of his last three runs at A3 and A2 grade. He won on 19 April from Trap 3 in A2, and again on 9 April from the same trap in A3. His early pace and middle draw work perfectly at this track. Beloved Brenda (22243) is consistent but older and slightly pedestrian. Pocket Gunner has a poor recent record and a 0 finish on 3 January is a red flag. Rapido Benji’s two wins in three runs and proven form from this trap seal it.

NAP: Blueisthecolor, Trap 3. This dog is flying. The middle trap and strong recent record make him the obvious choice. Jackpot Blue (13121) has one win in five, and Tea For Me (42122) shows a 4th at the start of his sequence, suggesting a dip. Blueisthecolor’s form is too hot to ignore and his Trap 3 draw is ideal at Hove.
