11:41 – Grade A3, 500m

Princes Legacy in Trap 1 heads the market on recent form and trap bias. The dog won his last A4 race on 29 April by 1¾ lengths, and prior to that posted a third-place finish at A3 on 7 May. He has run exclusively from Trap 1 at Nottingham, profiting from the 22% win rate at this venue and distance. However, his form is inconsistent: a 6th place finish on 22 April at A4 is a red flag, and his record over recent months shows two wins and one second from five runs, suggesting a dog in mixed form.

Honour Mission is not in this race, so attention turns to Kellies Jewel (Trap 2), who has raced primarily from wider traps (5 and 6) in hurdle company, recording mixed results. Her last competitive outing was on 16 March (over two months ago). Glideaway Fever (Trap 3) has limited recent data: her last race was in February when she was recorded in season. With such a long absence, she is unexposed at this stage of the season.

Honour Mission in Trap 2 is the pick here. The mare has posted four consecutive second-place finishes at Nottingham A3 level between 4 April and 6 May, all from Trap 2, and all in runs where she led or battled in the middle stages before being run down late. This is a dog at peak consistency. Her effort on 6 May saw her beaten by just a shadow (shd), and the pattern shows she is a reliable runner in this grade. While her inability to convert second place into wins is noted, her consistency at Nottingham 500m and from Trap 2 (19% win rate) is valuable in forecast and reverse forecast markets.

Dotties Image in Trap 2 is the selection. She posted a recent win on 22 April at A3 level by 1 length, taking the lead near the line in a display of late pace. Prior to that, she recorded a win on 8 April at Nottingham in an invite race. Her form at this track and grade is compelling. She has mixed results at A2 level (a 4th and 6th), suggesting A3 is her proper rating, and her last two competitive runs have both been victories.

Milos Delivery (Trap 1) offers an alternative backed by Trap 1’s 22% edge. He finished second on 4 May at A3 by 3½ lengths, and he holds a win from 13 February at this exact grade. However, his intervening run saw him fourth on 23 April, which is inconsistent form at this level. Blue Danube (Trap 3) is the other recent winner, recording victory on 29 April at A4, but he has since dropped form, finishing fifth on 7 May at A3.
