Romford Greyhound Tips – Tuesday 16 June 2026

Romford hosts a 12-race card from 14:23 to 17:49 on sand, with four feature races at 400m across grades A2 to A4. This is a fast, track-biased circuit where trap draw carries significant influence – expect the middle traps to dominate, particularly trap 3, which has won 32% of 400m races over the last 60 days.

14:23 – Grade A4, 400m

1 Young Joan 3y B P Young 24
2 Jeopardy Panther 4y D P Young 221
3 Ballybreen Rose 2y B D Hurlock 13-1
4 Silver Sands 3y B P Young No form
5 Haverhill Ellie 3y B B Doyle No form
6 Kinstons Angel 1y B P Young No form

The opening feature sees Young Joan, Jeopardy Panther, and Ballybreen Rose lead the market. Jeopardy Panther has run consistently at this grade, posting two recent seconds in A4 company on 8 and 23 June, with a win on 16 May from trap 1. His strike from the rails has been sharp, and whilst he’s drawn in trap 2 here, his form is solid enough to respect. However, NAP: Ballybreen Rose, Trap 3. This 2-year-old has found her rhythm at A5 and A4 level, winning on 8 June by a whisker with a strong middle-trap run. She carries excellent form into this slight step up in grade and benefits from trap 3’s 32% win rate at Romford. Young Joan, from trap 1, has been absent since March and shows a sequence of poor results in staying races – less ideal for this 400m sprint.

15:38 – Grade A2, 400m

1 Lindas Yes Baby 3y D D Mullins 553
2 Come On Sheileen 2y B M Wiley 111
3 Miami Sapphire 3y D P Young 242
4 Essex Crazy 2y D M Westwood No form
5 Stormy Pat 2y D K O’Flaherty No form
6 Chelms Simmo 4y D D Mullins No form

A competitive A2 attracts Come On Sheileen, Miami Sapphire, and Lindas Yes Baby. Come On Sheileen is red-hot, winning her last three races (9 June, 2 June, 22 May) with dominant performances at A3 and A4 grades from trap 2. She’s drawn in trap 2 again and has shown rapid improvement – her recent odds (6.00, 2.88, 2.75) reflect her rising class. Miami Sapphire finished second in this exact grade and trap 3 just six days ago (10 June), a strong reference point. NAP: Come On Sheileen, Trap 2. At only 2 years old, she has form momentum and tactical skill (led to halfway, held on), crucial in the A2 bracket. Lindas Yes Baby won this grade in trap 1 on 18 April but has suffered recent defeats with bumping interference and shows a downward trajectory. Come On Sheileen’s acceleration and recent class edge make her the standout.

17:12 – Grade A3, 400m

1 Headford View 1y B M Wiley 113
2 On The Payroll 3y D G E Evans 556
3 Ten Fold 3y D D Mullins 346
4 Bombay Breeze 4y B P Young No form
5 Bombay Flash 3y B P Young No form
6 Marias Girl 2y B P Young No form

Headford View and Ten Fold command attention here. Headford View has won back-to-back races (6 and 30 June) at A5 and A6 grades from trap 1, stepping up into A3. The dog has quick early pace from the rails and three wins in five recent starts suggest genuine upward form. Ten Fold, trained by D Mullins, won 6 May from trap 3 in A3 company but has since tailed off with four straight defeats, including dismissals at trap 3 on 6, 30 May and 10 June. NAP: Headford View, Trap 1. This is a rising star with momentum and proven track craft. Trap 1 at 18% is not Romford’s prime trap, but Headford View’s recent wins show he’s adapting, and his early-pace profile suits quick breaks. Ten Fold’s recent form collapse and mid-trap struggles in A2-A3 make him vulnerable to fresher rivals.

17:49 – Grade A4, 400m

Trap Dog Age Trainer Last 3
1 Aminutetooten 2y D D Hurlock 515
2 Churchfield King 1y D D Mullins 14
3 Itsur View 1y D P Young 525
4 Bubbly Monza 3y D P Young No form
5 Hollywood Ron 1y D T Welch No form

Aminutetooten and Itsur View both have recent A3-A4 experience. Aminutetooten won narrowly on 3 June from trap 1 at A4, confirming his class at this level. Before that he finished fifth in A3 on 10 June, suggesting the drop to A4 suits. Itsur View, a 1-year-old, has posted a 5, 2, 5 sequence at A3 (9, 2, 27 May), mixed form with middle-trap struggles and bumping trouble. Churchfield King has only two Cork runs on record and is largely unexposed at this grade on sand. NAP: Aminutetooten, Trap 1. He owns a recent A4 win from this trap on 3 June and has proven pace from the rails. His trap 1 profile is strong despite Romford’s slight preference for trap 3, and his recent A3 demotion suggests he’s suited to A4 opposition.

This is a busy Tuesday at one of London’s most popular greyhound tracks. Grades span A2 to A4 across the four feature races, all at the standard 400m trip. Check starting prices 15 to 20 minutes before each race – Betfair, Bet365, and SkyBet offer the tightest greyhound odds. Forecast and reverse forecast markets offer good value on Romford’s unpredictable trap-biased racing. Six-runner fields make each-way betting redundant here, so focus on win and place accumulators or forecast doubles.
