This looks a three-horse race on form. Enchant (2/1, William Hill/Coral/Betfred) is the market leader and deserves respect as a £300,000 breeze-up buy with a win already on the board. But K R Burke's 7/43 strike rate over the last 14 days gives you pause. The yard isn't exactly firing right now.

The angle here is Jumeirah Sands at 9/4 (Bet365/William Hill). Ismail Mohammed sends her back to the exact course and distance where she won on reappearance, and his yard is in sharp form at 1/3 in the last fortnight. She won despite being slowly away last time, which suggests there's more to come once she sharpens up from the gates. A confirmed C&D winner in this grade, in form, with an in-form trainer. She's the one.

Bintaryana is a credible alternative and won at Nottingham last month, with siblings boasting AW form. But Jumeirah Sands gets the nod on the C&D factor and trainer angle.

Roaring Ralph (10/3, William Hill/Coral) arrives on the back of a C&D hat-trick, completing the treble in comfortable fashion just 40 days ago. He steps up in grade off a mark 9lb higher now, which is the obvious concern. Michael Dods has had 3 winners from 21 runners in the last 14 days, a solid if unspectacular return, and Sean Kirrane takes the ride. The form holds up well enough at this level.

The most interesting price, though, is Avatar Jet Each-Way at 5/1 (Bet365) or 4/1 (Coral/Betfred). He won this exact course and distance just 12 days ago, doing so on his first ever start on the AW after 553 days off the track. Declan Carroll's yard is in fine nick at 3/13 over the last fortnight. Yes, he goes up 4lb, but a horse that finally clicks on the AW and wins with any authority is rarely done in a single run. The handicapper has raised him slightly but not brutally. Good each-way claims at 5/1 in an 11-runner handicap.

Holly Mist at 11/2 (William Hill/Coral) is also well-placed. Roger Varian's filly is 6 from 21 in the last 14 days, a strong training yard stat, and she ran with credit on C&D on handicap debut before another solid effort at Beverley. She stays the mile and handles AW surfaces. Keep her onside each-way at minimum.

David O'Meara's Popty Ping Each-Way at 8/1 (William Hill) is the standout each-way play on the card. She won over this exact C&D in March off a mark 4lb lower than tonight's, beating 11 rivals, and she posted a respectable fourth at Doncaster last time out. O'Meara's stat of 8 winners from 59 runners in the last two weeks is among the strongest trainer figures on tonight's card. She's a proven C&D performer coming back to her happy hunting ground, and 8/1 in a wide-open 11-runner 3yo handicap represents solid each-way value.

Fanjove at 11/2 (Bet365) makes plenty of appeal as a handicapper stepping back up to 7f. He won at Wolverhampton over the trip in October, went close at Newcastle, and finished fourth of 12 here over 6f on reappearance. The extra furlong looks tailor-made and Ed Dunlop's recent form reads 3 from 20. Not a bad price at all.

Sporting Light at 4/1 (Bet365/William Hill) is a 2-from-2 performer on AW surfaces and won over this C&D on reappearance. The Fahey yard's 2/36 last-14-days stat is a touch concerning, but the horse's personal C&D record does the talking. He's a shortlisted each-way option if you want to spread stakes.
