Canon’s House at 7/2 is interesting if he learns to settle, but his tendency to go too soon and the wide draw here make him a risk at a shorter price.

Sixpack’s Newmarket win was commanding, but the unproven step up in trip, a 7lb rise, and first-time cheekpieces give me pause. He is the one most likely to beat New York Minute, but at 9/4 you are laying odds-on territory on an unexposed stayer tackling a new trip. Sax Appeal at 3/1 is honest and Daniel Muscutt knows this track well, but 6/1 about a proven course specialist with Spencer up is the call.
