Likewhatyousee (11/8, BoyleSports) is the pick. Jonjo O’Neill Jr takes the ride for the family yard, which is one of the few stables showing a profit with winners in the last 14 days. The form reads 2-1, an encouraging novice sequence, and on good ground over two miles this filly should be in her element. The yard firing at 25% is the biggest green flag here.

Trouville at 6/5 is the one most will side with. Sean Bowen knows the track (28% course record on this card), but Olly Murphy is 0 from 16 in the last 14 days. That stat cannot be ignored, even at a short price. Likewhatyousee at a bigger price represents the better side of value.

Sixteen runners, five places, and a mixed field full of horses rated far above their official marks according to the figures. This race is ideal for an each-way play at a generous price.

Colegram Each-Way (9/2, BoyleSports) with Harry Skelton in the saddle is the selection. Three wins from five starts, including a win last time out, gives her exactly the profile you want heading into a competitive handicap hurdle. Dan Skelton’s yard is running at 29% over the last 14 days, which is exceptional, and Harry Skelton’s 28% course strike rate at Uttoxeter makes this combination almost impossible to leave alone. Good ground suits, she has already raced on it, and the Skelton operation rarely turn up without a serious chance.

The market favourite position around 9/2 might compress slightly by post time, but with five places on offer in a 16-runner field, this is a race to get involved in each-way at current prices.

Torrent (11/1, LiveScore Bet) is worth a mention as an alternative. Rated nine pounds above his official mark on the figures, the 62-day absence is the only real concern. If the yard has him spot on, he could run into a place at a big price.

Kom Tu Voudras (7/1, BoyleSports) also gets a mention. Faye Bramley has an extraordinary A/E of 1.54 at this track, and Harry Cobden takes the ride. Two wins from five recent starts and good-ground form on the clock. She could easily place at 7/1 in a wide-open field.

Ice Jet (13/8, BoyleSports) with Harry Skelton is the standout. Three wins from five starts recently, with only a second last time out and a second five starts back as blips. He has already proven he handles today’s trip and the good ground. Dan Skelton is operating at 29% over the last fortnight. Harry Skelton wins at 28% at this course. The combination of horse, jockey, and trainer form is about as compelling as it gets on a mid-summer Friday card.

The yard comment notes the stable is among the in-form operations at 29% over the last 14 days, returning ten wins from 35 runners. At 13/8 this is not generous, but the case is legitimate enough to make it the banker of the day.

Duke Of Luckley (12/1, BoyleSports) Each-Way holds interest as a side play. Top-rated in this field, won two starts back, and Freddie Keighley has an A/E of 1.16 at Uttoxeter. A stop-start campaign looks like it is clicking into place at the right moment, and 12/1 for the highest-rated horse in the field looks generous. The stop-start record is a concern, but at the price it is a punt worth making each-way.

Schmilsson (11/2, BoyleSports) cannot be discounted. Sean Bowen rides, back-to-back wins in recent history, and the horse handles today’s conditions. Murphy’s yard form is the sticking point. Worth noting as a place saver if playing each-way tickets.
