Third place hosting 19th. Villarreal have European ambitions still very much alive in the 2025/26 season, while Levante are fighting to avoid the drop. On paper, this looks straightforward. Football rarely is, but the numbers here do not leave much room for doubt.

That is a formidable record. Levante, by contrast, have won just five of their 17 home games this season, and away from home they have been genuinely poor: three wins, four draws, nine defeats. Villarreal come into this in decent shape. They beat Celta Vigo 2-1 at home last time out, won away at Athletic Club 2-1, and earlier put Real Sociedad to the sword 3-1 at the Cerรกmica. The only blemish in the last five is a 1-0 defeat away at Girona, which is no disgrace. Eight goals scored across those five games, five conceded. There is genuine quality in this attack.
Alberto Moleiro and G. Mikautadze are both sitting on nine goals apiece for the season, with N. Pรฉpรฉ chipping in with seven. Three players in double digits or close to it. That kind of depth in front of goal makes Villarreal difficult to stop on home turf.
Levante have shown some fight recently. They beat Sevilla 2-0 at home and followed that up with a 1-0 win over Getafe. But flip to the away column and it is a different story entirely. They drew 0-0 at Espanyol last time on the road, which was actually one of their better away results. Carlos Espรญ leads their scoring charts with eight goals, and Ivรกn Romero has seven, but neither was able to make a difference away at Real Sociedad where Levante lost 2-0.

They are pushing for a Champions League spot, they are in electric home form, and they are facing a side with the worst away record in the bottom half. Levante are not completely toothless, Espรญ and Romero can hurt teams, but they have consistently failed to deliver on the road this season and this is as tough a venue as any in La Liga right now.
The 1.76 price is not exactly generous for what is essentially a top-three side vs a relegation candidate at home, but it represents value when you factor in just how dominant Villarreal have been at the Cerรกmica. Over 2.5 goals at 1.65 is also worth a look given Villarreal's attacking output, but the match result is the cleaner play here.
