The form on show here should be taken seriously. Three races stand out as genuine punting opportunities.

The top-rated on paper may be Troublesome Guest, but the form angle here belongs to Arabica Queen. Jonathan Portman’s filly arrives on the back of a win, has run over six furlongs on good to firm previously, and returns within a month of that victory, suggesting she is in a nice rhythm. Her form reads 4-2-1, a progressive line from a horse that has been placed in all three starts and is clearly improving with each outing.

Rob Hornby takes the ride. The going suits, the trip is familiar, and at 7/2 she represents genuine value in a six-runner field where the market leader Regal Tiger is yet to win and Keep Kicking On has had three chances without getting off the mark. Arabica Queen has already broken her duck and looks ready to back it up.

The Gosden operation is firing on all cylinders right now, and pairing their runner with Windsor’s most profitable jockey in a maiden where the two market leaders both carry question marks is a combination worth backing each-way at minimum. With three places on offer at 1/5 odds, the return on a placed finish is viable.

Capichera carries that yard form into a race she looks built for. She won last time out, was runner-up two starts back, and has been placed in four of her last five, which is the kind of consistency that wins handicaps.

The form comment places her comfortably as the top-rated on figures in this seven-runner field. The concern is the 2/1 price, which is skinny. However, Sunshine Star at evens is returning from a 46-day break and sits behind Capichera on figures, while Crystal Pier and Valkyrie Storm are dangers rather than genuine threats to the selection’s superiority.
