About Betting on Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua (29-4, 24 KOs) is a former unified heavyweight world champion and one of the most recognisable fighters in the sport. Born in Watford on 15 October 1989, the 6ft 6in orthodox heavyweight won Olympic Super-Heavyweight gold at London 2012 before turning professional and rising to the top of the heavyweight division.

Joshua unified the IBF, WBA Super, WBO and IBO titles between 2016 and 2021, with landmark victories over Wladimir Klitschko (TKO 11), Alexander Povetkin (TKO 7) and Kubrat Pulev (KO 9). He suffered a shock defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr in 2019 but avenged it on points. Two subsequent losses to Oleksandr Usyk on points ended his reign as world champion. Trained by Ben Davison, Joshua returns on 25 July 2026 against Kristian Prenga in Riyadh, with a mega-fight against Tyson Fury to follow in Q4 2026.

In the betting ring, Joshua is most dangerous as a pressure fighter with elite power — 24 of his 29 wins have come inside the distance. His reach of 82 inches and physical presence make him difficult to outbox. Opponents have found success when forcing him to work on the back foot, as Usyk demonstrated.
