PDC World Darts Championship

The PDC World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace is the sport's biggest and most prestigious event. Running from December through the New Year's Day final, 96 players compete across three weeks for the Sid Waddell Trophy. The tournament draws the world's best players, from world number one Luke Humphries to former champions Gerwyn Price, Gary Anderson and Peter Wright.

Venue and Format

Alexandra Palace — known simply as 'Ally Pally' — provides one of sport's most iconic atmospheres. The main stage capacity exceeds 3,500 for the latter stages, with fancy dress-clad crowds creating a unique spectacle. The format is straight knockout from the first round, with the final played over a best-of-13 sets format. Top seeds receive byes into the second round and do not enter until the second session of play.
