Ding Junhui

Ding Junhui is China’s greatest snooker player and one of the most naturally gifted break-builders the game has produced. The Yixing-born right-hander turned professional in 2003 as a teenager and immediately announced himself with a stunning Masters title that year. Despite never winning the World Championship, Ding has been a consistent top-eight presence and has won multiple ranking events including the UK Championship. His potting speed and ability to make 147s almost routinely have made him a fan favourite across China and increasingly in the UK. From a betting perspective, Ding is one of the most difficult players to assess — world-class on his best days, prone to unpredictable early exits when his focus drifts. At 20/1 to 33/1 for the World Championship, he is a credible each-way selection but requires careful monitoring of his recent form. When he is in confidence, he is capable of beating anyone.
